The
Club Trattori d'Epoca Piemonte (the epoch tractors Piedmont club)
was founded in 1990 by a group of people fond of epoch agrimotors,
since then the club has grown and now has more than 300 partners in Italy
and abroad too. Its siege is at CUNEO v: S.S. 20 - n°22 S.Rocco
di Bernezzo
. The club has a collection of around 500 tractors starting from the first
steam-tractors to the very rare oil tractors, to the mythical hot-headed
tractor s. It was the first
tractors club which obtained to enter the ASI (Italian Historical Automotive
Club), which is the only organization recognized by the Transports Minister.
In 1996 the club won the first prize (with an Orsi Anteo tractor) in the
national ploughing race for epoch tractors which was held in Mantova.
In 1998 it took successfully part in the manifestation for the centennial
of the agricultural mechanization during the Verona fair. For 10 years
it upon request organizes manifestations of tractors d'epoca in fairs
and several festivals of the pro-loco. During this manifestation you can
admire the epoch ploughing, the wheat treshing with the old Marshall
treshing machines which were showed also during the "big Moisson"
in Paris in 1990, together with Carra, Ruston, Orsi and Saima machines
etc. Besides you can see the complete collections of Orsi and Landini
tractors and the enormous American and English Tractors. For the
club it is very common organize shows in Sardinia and in the other Italian
regions..
In 1996 the club made a twinning with the G.A.P (the group of the
ploughers of the Po) from Quingentole (MN).
